"Papringan" means bamboo groove in Javanese local language. It is a sustainable modern-traditional market, designed from an abandoned local bamboo grooves, which had been used as a trash gathering area in the past, because it was located nearby the settlement in Kelingan Village, Temanggung, Central Java, Indonesia. Revitalizing it into a market increases local empowerment while also preserves the bamboo grooves itself. The market opens every Minggu Wage, 35 days "selapan", which is based on Javanese calendar. It was established since January 2016 and sells only local culinary, agriculture, and art products.
